The National Climate Restoration Forum (Breakthrough) aims to be a catalyst for a social & economic breakthrough for the urgent restoration of a safe climate. Aer Design has a long standing relationship with the Sustainable Living Foundation and eagerly accepted the opportunity to work on this exciting project. The need for a powerful brand with ‘cut through’ was immediately evident.

The Breakthrough 2014 Forum brandmark utilised the natural break point of the word ‘breakthrough’ as the main conceptual thinking behind the brandmark. Literally breaking the word into two, the brandmark talks to the audience on two levels–break and through. The visual element of the dividing line between the two words sets the tone for the accompanying visual language of an overlay shard. The shard reinforces the ideals of the Breakthrough brand and harnesses the ability to focus on an element within the campaign imagery.
